Extreme sensibility, provocative creativity, striking colour.

Sophisticated and innovative, tweaked modernity, unexpected combinations, joyful anti-conformism, breaking completely with convention. Luxury craftsmanship with a dandy sensibility. The magic of geometry and the poetry of balance.

Metal, Plexiglas, lacquer. Exuberant graphic patterns and painted ceilings. Touches of gold, silver, original textiles. Classic lighting, serene atmospheres, clearly composed spaces.

It is a challenge to summarize Christophe d’Aboville.
An artistic director in the art of living, a designer, and an interior decorator, he has been immersed in the world of interior design since childhood.

He studied history and art history at the Sorbonne and the Ecole du Louvre until a propitious meeting and unique experience with Madeleine Castaing, the internationally renowned antique dealer and interior decorator. It is under the wing of Mme Castaing that he learns and refines his craft – elegance freed from pretention.

Later, he introduced a collection of home linens, as well as home fragrances and scented candles under his own name, Christophe d’Aboville Paris.

In 2003, Christophe d’Aboville was named Artistic Director of David Hicks France and the Hicks’ style enjoyed a renaissance. Under d’Aboville’s direction Neoclassical with a twist or the Gothic Pop style was born. D’Aboville worked his magic on objects, wallpapers, rugs, furniture, tableware, light fixtures…

From 2011 on, d’Aboville has devoted himself to personal projects. He has developed his interior design activity and consults for private clients, brands and boutiques.

With an obvious flair for colour, his personal style reflects the whole tradition of the decorative arts juxtaposed with a subtle nonchalance.
